Its mission is to enable these youths to integrate the performing arts in their lives for the long run: from third grade through university. Having begun operatic singing at the age of 13, I know the impact that a prolonged, stimulating music education has on a person’s capability, self-confidence, and general approach to life. For amateurs and professionals, whatever their life conditions, the arts are neither a luxury nor a whim.
